Crystal-clear Atlantic water on Isla Grande — a simpler alternative to San Blas.
From: $125.00
A 30-minute boat ride across Lake Bayano leads to the largest cave system in Panama — a full-day expedition that’s completely different from anything else in our rainforest lineup. This is the one tour on our list that takes you underground.
A full day, from a boat ride across Lake Bayano to two kilometers underground — with equipment and a private guide included.
7am departure.
Roughly east of Panama City, in a different direction from the Soberanía/Gamboa rainforest tours.
Across the lake to the cave entrance.
Panama’s largest cave system, extending about 2 kilometers with minimal natural light, explored with your private guide and provided caving equipment.
Included as part of the tour.
Back by around 4pm.
The tour is set at a 4-person minimum. If you have a smaller group, contact us — we may be able to combine your booking with another group heading out the same day.
It involves a boat ride and walking through cave terrain that’s uneven and low-light, but it’s not technical caving or climbing. Reasonable physical fitness is enough to enjoy it.
Comfortable closed-toe shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting a little dusty — caving equipment itself is provided.
